Hello Revolution Family, this just in from the Oregon Health Authority!
Governor Brown and state health officials have announced further statewide restrictions in an effort to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Several of these new restrictions may directly impact your faith gatherings.
Statewide: Faith gatherings should not exceed 25 people indoors or 50 people outdoors. Physical distancing of 6 feet and the wearing of face coverings are still required.
This guidance applies to all faith gatherings, regardless of where the gathering is being held, including in-home gatherings.
Multiple faith gatherings are permitted at the same location as long as there are
Separate entrances and exits
No shared facilities such as bathrooms
No shared spaces such as hallways & foyers
Separate enclosed spaces
These restrictions go into effect on Wednesday, November 18th. The order is in place until December 2nd, however, it may be extended in "hotspot" counties.
Let's pray that things get better for everyone. We'll keep you updated as to when we will gather this first week of December. Love you all and God bless!!
Just a little history lesson for you... In the early 1900s, our Foursquare Church denominational leader, Aimee Simple McPhereson, had to deal with the challenges of a pandemic as well. The FLU was taking out tons of people! On November 15, 1918, almost 100 years ago, Aimee held a crusade in the middle of a "stop order shut down." She was obeying God over man. The Lord led her to do this. This was in Tulsa, OK. The government ended up lifting the ban for three weeks as hundreds of people got saved!!!! We are not afraid to do what God tells us to do in the middle of a US Government ban, but God needs to tell us to do so. Be in prayer!!
"Thanks and God Bless!"
