Special Word from Pastor Alpha 3/14
Good afternoon Revolution Family!!! Monica and I love you all and miss you.
I hope you are all doing well and feeling safe. We are still having church for first and second service (9am and 11am). We are limited for what we can provide for Children's Ministry. We will have nursery available for ONLY second service. There are no other Children's Ministry age groups that we can provide class for at this time. We apologize for this and thank you for your grace and patience.
As your pastor, I want to encourage everyone to do what is safe. If you have even the slightest bit of sickness, please stay home. If you are elderly, please consider staying home for your own safety. We will not turn you away if you come, I just want you to know that we love you and do not want to put anyone at risk. I am going to make sure we have enough soap at the sinks for hand washing and find some hand sanitizer where I can to have available as well.
I talked with Stephenie, our children's pastor, and we agreed that it is best for her family to remain home. Jayme, Stephenie, Monica, and I want to have their family's safety be in priority. They all miss us so much and want to see us, but we support her decision to take caution and remain home. We believe in family over ministry work, so considering the times we are in, we feel this is best. Our children's ministry team is amazing!!! The children's ministry team are doing all they can to serve and take care of what needs to be covered. We will update you weekly about children's ministry moving forward.
As far as the Easter Egg Hunt, we are not sure what we will do yet. We will make a decision in one or two weeks after I have a chance to meet with our staff and leaders about this. We have to be so careful and we know we can't have large gatherings right now so we have a lot to consider. This effects Easter service as well. I will update you on this in a week or two.
Please be in prayer for healing!!!
More updates to come.
Love you all!

Encouragement through the Corona Virus Update
Good evening Revolution Church and ministry partners,
Many of us have received the information from our Oregon Governor Kate Brown to ban gatherings larger than 250 people in order to protect the public from the COVID-19 outbreak. I believe our response to this announcement should not be one of fear, but of wisdom and care for those in our churches and our communities as we implement what our state leadership has put in place. This is a concerning time, but our God is BIG!!!
Please pray for the families that have lost loved ones all around the world. Pray for those who are currently sick to be healed, and pray for the miracle of the complete eradication of this sickness that is taking lives in great measure in other places. Lastly, pray for the opportunity to comfort people who are living in fear and do not have the hope and peace we have through Christ our Lord. May they see in us, a servant church, full of compassion, care and love.
This is a time for the church to be adaptive, responsive, and demonstrate Christlike care. The church has never been limited to the four walls of the church building. We have seen throughout Church history the many ways the church remained connected, stayed on mission and supported one another in unique ways, even under tremendous persecution.
With the enacted gathering ban, we are all faced with the tough decision to meet on for our regular Sunday services. We want to be considerate and prayerful on gathering on Sunday mornings. Right now, we are going to continue meeting. We do have our requirements for governing social engagements which are listed on our denomination's website: http://www.npdfoursquare.org/coronavirus-resources There, we find info on how to greet each other without contact, disinfecting children’s ministry areas, toys, door knobs, passing of communion elements, and offering containers. These are high touch areas that pass germs quickly and easily. Basically, we need to take every caution necessary to help in not spreading sickness.
If you are sick at all, please stay home and gather with us online. www.revolutionchurchpdx.com
Here is what we can do in this Crisis
Lets continue to pray for healing and encouragement for our Revolution Family and the world around us globally and locally. I appreciate you all and love ya! Keep those hands washed!!

Here is what we can do in this Crisis
- Pray for those who are currently sick to be healed, and pray for the miracle of the complete eradication of this sickness
- Pray for the Spirit to continue to give you wisdom and awareness
- Serve those in need where you are able
- Plug into a home group. If this ban is not lifted after four weeks, small groups in homes will be very important to all — Acts 2:42 and Acts 20:20
- Pray for the Benedict family in Costa Rica and pray for our team as we are seeking the Lord on if we are to still go at this time or postpone the missions trip
Lets continue to pray for healing and encouragement for our Revolution Family and the world around us globally and locally. I appreciate you all and love ya! Keep those hands washed!!
